The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Ccmcission (the Ccmmission) has reviewed a request frcm Virginia Electric and Power Ccmpany for authorization to expand the storage capacity of the spent fuel pool at North Anna Power Station Units 1 and 2, located in Louisa Ccunty, Virginia. The authori-zation was recuested in the form of a precosed amendment to Operating License No. NPF-4 for Unit 1, which will share the spent fuel pocl with Unit 2 when that facility is ccepleted.

has prepared an envircnmental impact appraisal relative to the proposed mcdification.
Eased en the appraisal, the Ccemission has concluded that g
an environmental impact statement for this particular action is not warranted because there will be no significant environmental impact other than these which have been described in the Ccmmission's Final Environ-mental Statement for North Annc Power Station, Unit Nos.1, 2, 3, and 4, published in April 1973 and the Addendum to Final Envirccmental Statement published in November 1976, or evaluated in the envircnmental impact
