Dear Mr. Bauer:
By our letters dated June 2, 1977 and August 8, 1979 we requested informa-tion related to undervoltage protection of safety related equipment for Peach Bottom Unit Nos. 2 and 3.
Your responses to these requests are dated December 22, 1977 and October 5,1979.
Your December 22, 1977 submittal proposed changes to the Technical Specifications to provide a second level of undervoltage protection by monitoring the 13 KV line. He have determined that this design is not acceptable.
Our basis is summarized in the enclosure.
tiemt,ers of our staffs' discussed this item by telephone on October 16, 1979. We request that you modify your design and submit an amended proposal.
Your letter dated October 5, 1979 indicated an additional 60 days is required for you to complete your analysis of power systens for effects of degraded voltage conditions. This revised schedule is acceptable to the staff. Your submittal should include an amended proposal for second level undervoltage protection as discussed above.
