On April 23,1978, lississippi Pmier 5 Light Ccepany tendered for our acceptance revicu its application for an operating licence for its Grand Gulf I:uclear Station Unit i:os. I and 2.
The Cran t Culf !!uclear Station is located on the cast bank of the l'ississippi River in Clatrborne County, liississippi, approxir.ately 25 niles south of Vicksburg,
!4fssissippi. Each unit will utilize a General Electric Company 3'.l2/6 boiling inter reactor and a l' ark III vapor suppression cor.tainment.
Each unit is designad for rated thermal cnd electrical outputs of 3833 cnd 1290 maa eatts, respcctively. Unit 1 fuel loading is sche!uled for October 1980.
