20555 Docket No.50-012 Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station, Unit No.1
Dear Mr. Ross,
Your letter of August 21, 1979 requested infomation on several items. The Sacramento Municipal Utility District responded on August 31, 1979 with a schedule for responding to most of these items and in that letter we comitted to provide a detailed schedule for item 8, the analysis for loss of feedwater and other anticipated transients, by September 14, 1979.
A meeting was held yesterday between members of the NRC staff and tne B&W Owners Group Subcommittee for TMI 2 related items.
This analysis was discussed in detail at that meeting and we understand the schedule presented during this discussion was generally acceptable.
In essence, the schedule calls for completion of the inadequate core cooling, with loss of reactor coolant system inventory and without reactor coolant pumps, analysis to be completed by the end of October 1979, and the majority of the remaining items to be completed by the end of February 1980.
This item will probably be discussed further at future neetings.
If we can provide any additional information by letter, please advisa.
Sincerely yours,
( ) }t $ M
