ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REQUIRED FOR NRC STAFF GENERIC REPORT ON BOILING WATER REACTORS Earlier this month in separate letters to each licensee of a boi;ing water reactor (BWR), we transmitted our formal requests for additional information required for the NRC staff generic report on BWR's.
In those letters, we requested additional information in both the systems and analysis areas.
However, we inadvertently omitted two infomation requests in the systems area. These requests are contained in the enclosure to this letter.
To maintain our schedule, we request that you provide clear and complete responses to the enclosed requests by August 31, 1979.
Some of the infor-mation we requested in the enclosure may be deferred until November 16, 1979.
Please refer to the enclosure for definition of the information that may be deferred.

ENCLOSURE REQUESTS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION BULLETINS & ORDERS SYSTEMS GROUP 1.
Describe all events that resulted in a complete loss of main feedwater over the last three years of operation.
Include as a minimum, the following information:, date, initiating event, power level, and a short description of the subsequent actions.

Describe all events that have resulted in the operation of the power-actuated relief valves and the safety / relief valves utilized by the reactor pressure relief systems over the last three years of operation.
Include as a minimum, the following information: date, initiating event, power level, and a short description of the subse-quent actions. Ensure that your description includes valve actuations caused by:
(1)
Instrumentation and control failures (2) Transient events (3) Other causes such as manual, testing, etc.
For the August 31, 1979 submittal you should provide the above requested information for not less than the past 1-i/2 years of operation.
Information for that portion of the three-year period not covered in the August 31, 1979 submittal should be provided not later than "ovember 16, 1979.
