In your letiier of July 13, 1978, you sutnitted for our review a pre-operational terrestrial monitoring program to determine the effects of lake filling at the Braidnod Station site. Our staff has examined your proposed program using aerial infrared photography and finds it satisfactory in mest respects. The staff recornends the following clarifications or alterations to your suggested program:
1.
Colored infrared film should be used, since it produces more easily interpretad photographs than blcck and white film.
2.
The annual photegraphs should be taken at approximately the same time of year.
3.
The pmgram, comencing in the sumer of 1979, should ccatinue for two years after Unit 2 begins commercial operation.
With these modifications, the terrestrial monitoring program outlined in your letter is approved. A description of the results of the piogram should apoear in the Annual Reports for Braidwood Station.
