JUL 101979 APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Babcock and Wilcox Company License No. SNM-1168 Commercial Nuclear Fuel Plant Based en the NRC inspection, certain of your activities we.re apparently not con-ducted in full compliance with NRC requirements as indicated below. These items have been categorized as described in correspondence to you dated December 31, 1974.
As required by 10 CFR 71.5 and 49 CFR 172.403(c) a radioactive yellow II label must be affixed to each package measuring more than 0.5 millirem per hour but not more than 50 millirem per hour at the external surface of the package.
Contrary to the above, on May 17, 1979 a shipment of UO Pellets in a EU-7 2
container measuring 0.7 millirem per hour was shipped using a radioactive white-I label.
This is a leficiency.
