Box 542 Reading, ignqsylvania 19640 Dear Mr. Herbeins Based on an evaluation of the current status of the radwasta management effort at Three Mile Island Nuclear Station. Unit 2, and discussiona with unit staf f, we hereby issue the attached temporary change to the Technical Specifiestions with regard to administrative controls on the Radwaste Operations Review Comittee (RORC). The establish:sent of this cocmittes is necessary to adcquately review procedures, tests, modifi-catioos, events and radiological hazards associated with radvaste management. The RORC will function in a,similar and parallel manner to the existing Plant operations Review Comittee (PORC). The RORC is being formed at this time to i= mediately process the existing bach-log of proceduros on new radwasta equipment and revisions to existing radvasta equipment. The attached pages are to be added to Section 6 of the existing Technit'ai Specifications until such ti e as new specifi-cations for TMI-2 ats issued.
