er FSchroeder I am pleased to respond to your railgram of June 7,1979, to Chaiman Joseph Hendrie of the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Comission. 5,ince the substance of your correspondence is a matter at issue now pending before the.lRC, I have been directed to provide this response for Chaiman Hendrie.
Is response to your request, a personal briefing of the California Energy Commission by members of the NRC staff was held on June 21, 1979, at which the issues that you raised in your mailgram were addressed.
I trust that this briefing provided a useful forum for the airing of concerns of the Energy Comission and the public and that you received satisfactory responses to your questions.
(I understand that the afternoon session was devoted to questions from the public and responses from the NRC staff.)
