Dear Mr. Marranzino:
to Facility License The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No. 3 No. R-ll3 for the GSTR TRIGA Facility. The amendment is in resn nse to your application dated October 11, 1978, as supplemented February 20, 1979.
The amendment increases the maximum amount of contained U-235 you are authorized to receive, possess and use.# rom 4.0 kiivgrams to 5.0 kilograms.
The amendment also changes the license to reflect the percent enrichrent of U-235, total maximum amount of special nuclear material (SNM) exempt and how exempt (i.e., 10 CFR 73.6(b)), the total amount of SNM not exempt, i.nd the total amount of SNM authorized. Our staff has discussed this license change with you and you have agreed to its content.
A cooy of the related Safety Evaluation is also enclosed.
