NRC STAFF'S 110 TION FOR ORDER COhiPELLING CONSOLIDATED L';TERVENORS TO RESPOND TO SECOND SET OF STAFF INTERROGATORIES On hiay 15, 1979, the WRC Staff (Staff) filed a series of interrogatories directed to Consolidated Intervenors (CI) in the captioned proceeding. This second set of Staff interrogatories to CI with regard to Phase II of this proceeding was served by deposit in the United States mail on the above date. Accordingly, under 10 CFR Ss 2.740b and 2.710, responses to these interrogatories were due on June 4,1979.
As of June 14, 1979, 10 days after responses were to be filed, the Staff had not yet received responses to those interrogatories. Since responses to the Staff's interroga-tories w.c not f, led within the prescribed time peried, the Staff respectfully requests, pursuant to 10 CFR S 2.740(f), that the Licensing Board issue an order compelling Consolidated Intervenors to provide promply, in writing and under oath, full, direct and responsive answers to the Staff's second set of interrogatories in Phase II, dated hiay 15,1979.
