SU.UARY OF CP3RATII;G EXPERIEt;CE July, 1979 Indian Point Unit 3 vas synchronized to the bus for a total of 744 hours0.00861 days
0.207 hours
0.00123 weeks
2.83092e-4 months
, producing a gross gencration of 477,46] mwh for this re-porting period.

The unit operated at 70% power for the major part of the month and experienced one scheduled power ascension and one load reduction.

Until July 27, 1979, the urit was operating at 70% power in order to extend the operating cycle. At 14:32 that date, the unit load was increased to 75% power in order to meet with sche duling for a September 15, 1979 Refueling Outage start date.

The unit rema; ed at 75% power for the rest of the month.

The load reduction occurred on July 29, 1979 at approximately 19:30.

At that time, the unit experienced a condenser vacuum transient due tc a failure in level control of Boiler Fced Pump seal collecting tank.

Gen-erator output was reduced to 460 mw for approximately one hour.
