- 2) Letter SG-79-207 R. A. Moschner to William J. Dircks dated June 5, 1979.
Dear Mr. McCorkle:
Please disregard my previous letter to you on this subject (Reference 2) as it has caused a misunderstanding. We regret this misunderatanding and in order to reconcile our differences, we will, by July 20, 1979, provide you with a response / revision to the Security Personnel Training and Qualification Plan (Reference 1) and additionally a response / revision to the General Electric Vallecitos Nuclear Center Safeguards Contingency Plan as requested in your letter dated June 1,1979.
An update of our reduction efforts is as follows:
s 3 kgs. of Pu will be shippe to HEDL in approximately 3 weeks (Wk 31).
Active negotiations between DOE and ENEL are taking place to provide storage of the latter's fuel in the U. S.
31 kgs. of LEU is packaged and ready to trt.nsfer to G. E., Wilmington; anticipated shipment date is June 29, 1979.
DOE is actively working on where to send the remaining scrap.

G E N ER AL ([) E LE CTRIC William J. Dircks June 22,1979 00E Idaho has agreed to store N 55 kgs. of fully enriched fuel elements fission product capsules and sputtering plates.
The current material location and physical state is:
75 - 80% is stored in a vault in tampersafed cans or shipping containers.
10 - 15% (ENEL) is in shipping containers stored in a vault.
Some residual material is in the process of being containerized.
