Dear Mr. Keppler:
Pursuant to the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e) (3), this interim report is being filed as an official follow-up to reference (a) concerning han ling damage to the Core Spray Pump Motor identified as E21-01-C001-D.
The motor was sent to General Electric Company's Manufacturing Division, San Jose, California.
Disassembly and inspection have been performed.
Edison Engineering, in conjunction with General Electric representatives, are presently evaluating the extent of damage and determining the neces-sary repairs.
A final report will be issued if the resulting damage is considcred signi'icant enough to be classified as a reportable deficiency.
If we determine it not to be reportable under 50.55(e), we will notify your office.
