REVISION 1 TO :PL-TOP-1 A, "0PERATIONAL QUALITY ASSURAtiCE l'.A'iUAL" Your itay 1,1979 letter transmitted revised pages to the operational quality assurance program pli.'ned for use by liississippi Pcuer & Light Caapany for its Grand Gulf Nuclear station. The revised pages describe the change made to the operational QA crganization.
We have reviewed the organizational change which results in shifting the re-porting level for the Manager of Quality Assurance from the Vice-President of Production & Engineerir.g to the Director of Power Froduction. This change appears to differ with the reporting requirenents of Critcrion I in Appendix B to 10 CFR 50.which state that "Such perscns...shall report to a manaaement level such that... sufficient independence from cost and schedule...Lig 3
