The Cxraission has issued the enclosed Amencment No. 46 to Facility Cterating License No. CPR 40 for the Fort Calhoun Station, Unit No.1.
The amendment consists of changes to the Technical Specifications in rescense to your acclicaticn transmitted by letter dated August 22, 1977, as revised by letters datao Septemce-3 and 28, and Novemcer 20, 1978.
This amencment revises the Technical Specifications to incorporate surveil-lance recuirements for inservice inspection of steam generator taces and to replace the current inservice inspection and testing Technical Specific:tions with an inservice inspection and testing program that meets the requirements.-
of 10 CFR 50.55a.
Relief frca certain inservice inspecticn and testing requirenents is hereby granted as discussed in the enclosed Safety Evaluation. We have deternined that the granting of this relief is authori:ed by law and will not endanger life or property er the cc:n.on defenre and security and is othernise in the public interest. This relief is granted, except for certain recuirements as discussed in the Safety Evaluation, in res:ense to your recuest of August 18, 1977, as revised Se:: tem:er 3 and 28, and Novemcer 20, 1978. As discussed in the
