Rockwell International Corporatic 1 Docket No. 99900266/79-01 NOTICE OF DEVIATION Based on the results of an NRC inspection conducted en April.0 - May 2, 1979, it appeated that certain of your activities were not conducteo in full compliance with NRC requirements as indicated below:
Criterion V of Appendix B to 10 CFR 50 states in part that, " Activities affecting quality shall be prescribed by documented instructions, procedures, or drawings, of a type appropriate to the circumstances and shall be accomplished in accordance with these instructions, procedures, or drawings.
In addition, weld procedure No. WP-001-140-073, Revision L, requires welding to be performed within an imperage range of 80-195.
Contrary to the above requirements, one welder was observed to be welding at 60 a=ps on Part No. N139000001, which was subject to the requirements of weld Procedures No. WP-001-140-073.
