Dear Mr. Denton:
Failure of Solenoid Operated Valves to Meet IE Bulletin 79-01 Environmental Oualification Requirements Please refer to our letter of June 14, 1979, Serial No. 466, on the above subject. We reported the corrective action that has been taken or will be taken to correct the lack of environmental qualification of ceveral ASCO solenoid valves used at North Anna and Surry Power Stations.
Section V of that letter, Corrective Action, should be amended to state that the re-placement valves for North Arma Unit I will be installed during the "first appropriate outage following receipt of replacements".
Very truly yours, 2b.)??.vJia&.Q C. M.
