. Appendix A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Wisconsin Electric Docket No. 50-266 Power Company Based on the inspection conducted on April 2-6, 10 and 11, 1979, it appears that certain of your activities were not conducted in full compliance with NRC regulation as indicated below.
The following is a deficiency.
Technical Specification 15.3.10.B.2.f states that if alarms used to monitor axial flux difference "are temporarily out of service, the axial flux difference shall be logged, and conformance with the limits assessed, every hour for the first 24 hours2.777778e-4 days
0.00667 hours
3.968254e-5 weeks
9.132e-6 months
, and half-hourly thereafter."
Contrary to the above, with the computer alarm out of service from 0640 to 1540 hours0.0178 days
0.428 hours
0.00255 weeks
5.8597e-4 months
on March 30, 1979, the axial flux difference was not logged.
The failure to log the axial flux difference occurred as a result of an operator failing to initialize the control room computer properly following a computer shutdown.
This resulted in the axial flux difference alarm being cut of service from 0640 to 1540 on March 30, 1979 Ac.
