Subject : Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Docket No. 50-219 Fire Protection - Alternate Water Supply By letter dated October 3,1977, we submitted attachment 5 to the Oyster Creek Fire Protection Program - Cmparison to Standard Review Plan 9.5.1.
In this submittal we committed to provide an alternate me. ins of supplying water to the yard loop in accordance with NRC Staff Position No. 7. Our cccmitment was to install either a tank and associated pump or a redundant supply line from cur existing system based on the results of an engineering evaluation of these two alternatives.
The purpose for this correspondence is to infom you that the decision has been made to provide a tank of 300,000 gallon capacity as well as a pump of sufficient size to provide the fire protection systm water dmand.
This system will connect to the existing yard loop.
This systs will be scheduled for installation in accordance with Table 3.1 of the NRC Safety Evaluation Report on the Oyster Creek Fire Protection Progran as required by paragraph 3.E of our Operating License No. DPR-16.
