Vollmer to you dated nyril 27, 1979, As a #ollowup to a rem subject as ao7ve, I sp,Le with L.

Kavack, NUCO, on Anril 27, 1979 concerning his re-analysis the results of the charcoal particularl,r with res7ect to Pu 230, La-lh2, and Np-239.

Isn analvsis of charcoal taken fran the same lot used in the adsorbers at TMl-2 showed that the case charcoal had been contaninatad with Pu-239, possibly as a result of the chinese bomb tests (charcoal used at TMl cane from Phillio;nes coconuts).

Kwack es tabl ished that the La-142 (Ti - 92 min) identified in the initial results was in error.

This was actually a spill over of I-131, Kavack air, confirned the orerence o Cr-51.
