SUBJECT:
ISOLATION OF AUXILIARY OR EMERGENCY FEEDWATER DURING TEST Investigation has shown that the surveillance test procedure used to test auxiliary feedwater systems at TMI-2 requires isolation of both trains of feedwater while performing the test. Please confirm by May 30 that test procedures of other PWRs with redundant auxiliary or emergency feedwater systems do not require both trains to be inoperable during the test.
If any procedures do require isolation of both trains to do the test, report this information to ADFC promptly. Otherwise, please report the results of this review to me by May 31, 1979.
