ACRS Subcomittee meeting 5/31, 6/' :
It appears B&O has little to do; Heltemes is coordinating with LL (Tedesco, tnd Majors.
If you are needed, Heltemes will notify you.
2.
We need to plan a meeting with CE utilities, a'la W, :oca. Action: Villalva, plus Varga, Reid, Thadani. Ditto GE, but no so soon.
3.
We need to decide today whether St. Lucie needs that extra operator in the control room for AFW.
4.
Motor-driven AFW at Oconee 3 is proceeding apace; needs our attention ASAP.
5.
Olshinski memo of 5/23 indicates W can and will recommend running RCP, under specified condition.
6.
Records preservation the subject of a Comission order (copy enclosed).
7.
It is still not clear whether the B&W analyses for small breaks indicate achievability of 50 F subcooling; similarly, the W c-iteria should be applied (by W) to ATsub (time) to see how it compares. DTtto for CE.
Action: analysis.
8.
B&W Bulletin evaluations need to start issuing.
9.
The Beaver Valley bulletin 06A response says that running two HHSI pumps (0150 gpm each) could fill the pressurizer water solid in 20 min, and could lift PORV in 5 min. Also, they plan to keep 1 RCP on, under some condition.
- 10. The Oconee SER should have been distributed by now; where is it?
- 11. W ACRS response says need to augment procedures for natural circulation. Also says some pressurizer heaters are on vital busses.
- 12. Two ACRS members are visiting B&W sinulator on 6/8. We may want to send one person. ECCS subcommittee is meeting 6/19,20 on B&W small break models, inter alia.
- 13. A status on W, CE reports is attached.
