Background
By letter dated December 27, 1978, we informed NYSE&G that we had completed the acceptance review of its tendered application for construction permits and operating licenses for NYSE&G 1 & 2 and had found it acceptable for docketing with the exception of the Environmental Report.
The Environmental Report was still under review and would be the subject of separate corres-pondence. of our December 27, 1978 acceptance review letter contained a request for additional information.
This request incorporated questions, from the technical review branches, which were developed during the course of the acceptance review.
A meeting was arranged, at the applicant's request, in order to discuss certain of these questions.
Discussion NYSE&G stated that it appreciated the opportunity to come and discuss the acceptance review questions in a meeting with the staff and hoped that the result of the meetinq would be a clear understanding with the staff as to the level of detail and amount of information that was expected in response to our request for additional information.
A clear understanding of each question early in the review process hopefully would insure that NYSE&G's responses would contain the quality and quantity of information desired by the staff.
