The purpose of this letter is to direct your attention to our continuing concera for the acc iracy and cApleteness of int _.-=ation submitted to the NRC by licensee and appl ica.- *.s. Our statutory responsibilities reouf re that infor.ation received as part of the reculatory process be accurate and complete. This includes inforration provided in license applications, responses to licensing questions, enforcement letter nsponses, event reports, and IE Sulletin responses.
As ye t know,10 CFR 50.30 requires that an application for a licensa, or amendment thereto, be provided under oath or affinnation. While ot%r inforation is not required to be provided v.Gr cath or affirration, this in no way decracts from the necessity that all infor=ation submitted to the NRC be accurate. The informtion submitted should be substan-tiated by data, records, calculattens and sound technical jud7ent. The required promptness of reply u:ay, under certain circumstances, centribute to an inadvertent sub:sittal of incocplete or inaccurate information.
Ur. der such circunstances, we expect your promet detection and imediate NRC notification of any inaccuracte.s and incor.pleteness in the inferra-tion supplied to the MRC.
You are no doubt aware that failure to n:eet the expected standards of accuracy and cowleteness has resultad in enforcement action. Enforce-r.ent action will continue to be considered for inaccurate or incoc:olete inforsation arounting to mterial false statements. Such action is necessary, as inaccurate or incoe.clete infor ation could lead

, It is imperative that licensees and apolicants met their responsibility of positively assuring the accuracy and completeness of all infomation provided to the NRC. It is expected that each licensee and applicant will have an active program to assura an awareness at all levels in their organi:ation that nothing less than cecplete and accurate inforration is acceptable.
