4/5/79 Minutes of Technical Working Group Meeting #1 4/4/79 The meeting was called to discuss the desirability of reducing Reactor Coolant System te=perature from 280 to approximately 230.

Decisions 1.

It was decided not to make this change at this time.

2.

B&W is to calculate:

a.

The temperature at which the degassing is most ef fective b.

The Reactor Coolant System te=perature at which natural circulation is most likely to start.

1.

If started in a planned manner 2.

If started under emergency conditions 3.

B&W is to investigate the feasibility of measuring the pressurizer spray flow by turning off the spray and measuring either the rate of pressure increase or the pressuriser heat capacity needed to maintain equilibrium pressure.
