Issuance of our operating license for this ur.it will be contingent on agreement on these positicns and your comnittment to implement their requirement on our acceptable schedule.
Because of the minimal time recaining to comalete this effort, we have established the following target schedule:
12/22/77 - Quastions and initial positions to applicant 01/3,4/78 - Inspection at site 01/5,6/73 - Site visit continues
- Review of applicant responses to cuestions and cositions
- Revief of results of site inspection
- Presentation and discussion of staff cositions

l'etropolitan Edison Company To facilitate the earliest resolutien of problems identified durinc the site visit discussions, you are requested to assure the participation of at least the follcwing personnel:
- 1. Your licensing representative 2.An individual authorized to make comittments in the applicant's behalf.
- 3. Individuals familiar with safety-related mechanical, electrical, and control syste.s
- 4. Knowledgeable fire protecticn engiseers, cresumably from both your own and your consultant's organization
- 5. If feasible, a secretary for tyctn.c and copying staff pcsitions and the applicant's resoonses and comitt.:ents.
We expect that, with your cooperation and with close and speedy coordina-tion between our staffs, the review can be successfully comcleted in a timely manner with minimal impact on the overall licensing schedule.
