Reference your letter to the AEC datec Cctober 16, 1972, regarding the prcmotion of five Auxiliary Operators assigned to Unit 1 to the position of Shift Foremen for Unit 2.
We have reviewed.the resumes you have provided and have made the following determination as to their qualifications in comparison with the guidance provided in ANSI Ni3.1-1971,
" Selection and Training of Nuclear Pcwer Plant Personnel."
Candidates A, B, C, and D are acceptable for Shift Foremen. They should continue their participation in the Unit i preoperational test and startup program, and attend the BaW simulator training program you proposed in your letter. The resume submitted for Candidate E incicated that he lacks the requisite power plant experience to qualify as a Shift Fo reman. We suggest that he complete the training proposed in Mr. Collins letter to you dated November 14, 1972 and then gain operating experience as a licensed ' operator. At some future date he again could be considered for the position of Shift Foreman.
