.l o. 7 3 Page Two We recca.nize that while no action has been taken by NRC on the acclication for amendment of the Forked River.cermit, NRC did on Februarv. 3, 1973, issue an rnendment to the Three Mile Is l and, Unit 2, construction.cermit addinc. Pennsylvania Electric Ccmaany as a named owner of the facility and has since issued an operatine. license naminc. a21 tn,ree comcanies as owners.
The amendment to the construction permit and the naming of all three companies in the operating license were a.c.c ro.a r ia te actions, however, without regard to the application which was filed on April 1, 1977, and which la now withdrawn.
At the time the orig-
-inal construction permit for Three Mile Island, Unit 2, was is-sued the facility was owned 50-50 by Metropolitan Edison Ccapany and Jersev. Central Power and Lic.ht C o n.c a n '. and only these two companies were named as owners.
Subsequently Jersey Central Power
& Light Company sold a 25% interest in the facility to Pennsvi-vania Electric Company, but no anendment to the construction per-mit was sought or issued to re:. lect tnis transrer c:- interest.
Thus the issuance of an amended construction permit and subsequent operating license naming all three companies as owners have served to correct this oversight.
