The p ccesed icdine recovel syste for Unit :To. 2 ccnsists cf tvc 15~.0 gpa each containment spray systems. In cur seccnd tecnni s; meeting vi.
JCP,8 L, en August 27, 1963, and agsin vis questien 1.4 submit.ed Ceteter la, c

.s meet Part 100 guideline deses at the site exclusicn d. stance (;26 meters) folleving the design besis accident ( D3A).
2_e applicent was inf:rced that our evaluatien cf the Unit :Ic. 2 centainment spray intreted tha. -he icdine remo'.al es;ebility, using pres ent CFL a ss umptiens, vend e._:v redit fer en iodine reduction factor of a;;rcximately 3 5 cre;ared tc the 9;cli:ent's cel:ulsted value of 2L.0.
This meeting was requested by the a pplicent to discuss tne ascu ;;1 cts end retned of e'raluation used by :'FL in evelucting the icdine remeva; es a:ity cf spray systems, filter systems and ccebinaticas of spray plus re:1rcula-tien filters.

Lev Feculation 2cne A recent remo, from Feector Tecnnology to F. ~. Scyd, 'Exclusien Fadius Ocse Calculations for Oyster Creek Plant, Unit No.
2 dated Nove ber 29, Ic68, indicates that FT believes the evaluation of Unit No. 2 shculd be for a 10v population cene (LFZ) distance of One mile insteed of the crocesed tvc. mile LF2. As indicated in the ebove meco, this reductt;n of the LF2 frem two miles to cne elle veuld require an IRF cf 12 5 tc meet Part ICO LF2 dese limits with the cresent 0.21/ day design leak rate.
The applicant v9s informed that there vas e possibility of cur requirtng the ZF2 distance be rediced, but that no definite CFL positica existed at thb time.
It is ecsential if the LF2 distance for Cyster Creek is to be reduced to One mile that JCFiL be so informed as early as pcssible since the design requirements fer iodine removel capability vill be determined by the LF2 dcse and nct the 2.ncur exclusien beunda ry dese.
'Je note tha t a two-mile LPC was established for Unit No.1.
Fadiclytic Hydrecen At the conclusien of the meeting the apclicant indicated that in Amendment No. 6 to be submitted December 16, 1966, it veuld present its evaluatica cf radic-lytic nydregen generatica folicving the LCCA. Jersey Central indicated that 1: vili not have made a decision on selection of a particular design to li=tt the hydregen concentratica in the reactor building.
Its evaluaticn vculd censider several systems, such as flame type recc biner, catalytic recombiner, ar.d venting as alternatives in preventing the hydrogen concentretien within the containment ree ching the fle== ability limit, cc: F. A. Merris
