METROPOLITAN EDIS0J CC,tPANY JERSEf CENTRAL POWER 3 LIGHT COMPANY PENNSYLVANIA ELECTRIC COMPANY a0TICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDrENT TO FACILITY UPERATING LICENSE The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Cocaission (the Commission) nas issued xmendment 6 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-73, issued tb the retro-politan Edison Company, Jersey Central Power & Lign: Company, and Pennsylvania Electric Company, for operation of the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 2 (the facility), located in Dauphin County Pennsylvania. The amendment is effective as of its date of issuance.
Tne license is amended by revising ce tain Tecnnical Specifications to permit the following:
1.
Alternate procedures for containment air leck seal leak rate testing 2.
Plant operation witn increased ultir3te heat sink temperatures 3.
Removal of most orifice rod assemolies and addition of retainers on the renaining orifice rod assemolies and on the burnacle poison rod assemolies 4.
Replacement of the main steam safety valves.
The application for the amendment complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amenced (tne Act), and the Comnission's rules and regulations. The Comnission nas made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, wnich are set forth in tne license amencment.
