Mr. T. M. Cri= mins, Jr., Safety and Licensing Manager 260 Cherry Hill Road Parsippany, New Jersey 07054

Dear Mr. Cri= mins:

In the March 19, 1974, meeting with the staff, you asked about the submittal of EISC drawings and for a reference to an acceptable submittal for use as a guide.

The enclosed procedure provides information on the submittal and this should be followed for the submittal of detailed EI&C drawings.

We have determined that it is not beneficial to recommend a reference for use as an exa=ple of a suitable drawing submittal.

Parts of a submittal that are necessary for understanding =ay be proprietary and differences in the detail design approaches and presentations make difficult a one-to-ene identification and comparison of the design infor=ation required in the review.

As our review and evaluation progress, we will request detailed information in addition to that requested in Ques tien 6-3.

Sincerely,

~
