Gasket-Seal Replacement Schedule Nuclear Engineering Company, Inc., as an owner and principle licensee of the B-2 cask, hereby recuests that the Certificate of Compliance be renewed.

4 GASKET-SEAL REPLACEMENT SCHEDULE The lip-type gaskets which form the seal for the container must be in the best possible condition to provide the desired containment.

The following criteria will be used to deter-mine the gasket replacement schedule:

I.

Inner and Outer Gasket Condition - Two lip-type gaskets form the seal for the container.

Both are located on the lid of the container and shall be inspected for signs of damage and/or deterioration.

Any indications of damage shall require replacement of the affected gasket prior to customer usage.

II.

The gaskets and seals will be replaced annually or sooner as required by criteria I.
