SUMMARY
OF OCTOBER 15, 1979 MEETING ON SUBFOUNDATION AND BACKFILL DESIGN AND RADIATION ASSESSMENT PROGRAM Summary A meeting was held with representatives of the Texas Utilities Generating Company at the Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station near Glen Rose, Texas. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the subfoundation and backfill design and the radiation assessment program for the Comanche Peak facility.
The NRC geotechnical engineer, Owen 0. Thompson, also took this opportunity to view first hand the general site topography, the dams with their emplacements for monitoring stability and exposed trenching. The NRC radiation program reviewer, Charles Hinson toured the health physics areas, radwaste areas and spent fuel handling areas.
