NRC STAFF'S RESPONSE TO STATE OF ILLIN0IS'

" MOTION F0P. EXTENSION OF TIME IN WHICH TO FILE RESPONSE TO BOARD ORDER" On December 10, 1979, the State of Blinois moved the Licensing Board for a two-week extension of time to respond to the Board's Order requiring in-formation on intergranular stress corrosion cracking.

Both Applicant and the NRC Staff had previously been granted extensicns of time to file responses addressing this issue. As those responses are essential to the State of Illinois' response, the NRC Staff does not oppose the requested extension of time to respond until December 28, 1979.

Respectfully submitted, I

j.-w J a.1 Richard J. Goddard Counsel for NRC Staff D6ted at Bethesda, Maryland this 12th day of December,1979.
