IMPLEMENTATION OF SHORT TERM LESSONS LEARNED CATEGORY A ITEMS SURRY POWER STATION UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 NORTH ANNA POWER STATION UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 We have previously committed to the full implementation of all Category A requirements from the TMI-2 Lessons Learned Task Force (NUREG 0578) in our letters of October 24, October 25 and November 26, 1979 for Surry Unit 1 & 2 and North Anna Unit 1 & 2.
We are exerting every possible effort and expect to complete all Category A require-ments by January 31, 1980 for North Anna Unit 1 and Surry Unit 1.
With regard to Surry Unit 2 and North Anna Unit 2 all Category A requirements will be completed prior to start-up.
We agree to shutdown North Anna Unit 1 and/or Surry Unit 1 if all Category A requirements cannot be completed by January 31, 1980.
If, for reasons beyond our control, equipment cannot be secured to complete Category A requirements by that date, we will promptly notify you and plan to implement those remaining items within 30 days from receipt of equipment.
