Dear Sir:
Subject:
Training of Nuclear Regulatory Commission Inspectors by Oak Ridge Associated Universities We have reviewed the Radiation Safety Seminary Schedule being used by 0.R.A.U. for training N.R.C. Inspectors. The training meets all the current requirements for general health physics training.
On behalf of the Veruont Yankee Nuclear Power Corporation (Docket 50-271; DPR-28), Maine Yankee Atomic Power Company (Docket 50-309; DPR-36), and Yankee Atomic Electric Company (Docket 50-29; DPR-3), we accept the 0.R.A.U. training in lieu of general health physics training at our facilities. As discussed in the referenced telephone conversation, the 0.R.A.U. training will be considered valid for a period of time not to exceed three years, after which time retraining will be required.
Addi-tionally, site specific training for health physics, security, emergencies, quality assurance, and safety will be given by the Facility.
We trust you will find this acceptable, however, should you have any questions feel free to contact us.
Very truly yours, YANKEE ATOMIC ELECTRIC COMPANY onald E. Moody Manager of Operations DKH/sec
