RE: Decket 50-302 License DPR-72 This will confirm a report to Mr. D. R. Ouick of your effice at 1412 on 26 October 1979. It was discovered at pipe stress of a 3 x 2 reducer on the SW system outlet 1412 on 26 October 1979 that the thrust of RCP-1A ceter bearing cooler exceeds the FSAR required allcwable stress.
Automatic isolation valves are available to isolate the affected section of this line from the SR system.
An engineering evaluation of this event is being conducted to provide a solu-tion to this problem.
A detailed report of this event will follow within fourteen (l') days.
