McGuire Nucl' ear Station Response to II: Bulletin 79-23 1.
A review of the design of McGuire Nuclear Station has revealed that connections have not been made between low KVA rated transformers and high KVA rated emergency diesel generators without adequate limitations on the flow of circulating currents.

The 24 hour2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> full-load test of the McGuire Unit 1 emergency diesel generators will be complete by January 1, 1980. A schedule for conducting this test on the Unit 2 emergency diesel generators has not yet been developed, but the test will be complete prior to Unit 2 fuel loading. This testing of the McGuire emergency diesel generators is in accordance with the guidelines specified in item 2 of the bulletin.
