Operations Maine Yankee Telephone - 8/24/73 Reactor trip without turbine trip - While in (DN 50-309)
'qnd 8/27/73 the process of shutting down the reactor to repair a minor charging line leak, a low flow reactor trip occurred at 15% power as a result of a 4160 volt bus losing voltage due to a

breaker malfunction. Following the reactor trip, an operator noted the turbine and genera-
/
tor had not tripped and immediately manually initiated a turbine and generator trip. The licensee is evaluting the occurrence and will submit a 30 day report.

Reports from the New Jersey Bureau of Radiation Protection and from Technical -
