In an effort to be nore res p sive to the needs of the public, the Commission has established a document room relating to your application for the Three Mile Island facility, Units 1 and 2, at the Government Publications Section, State Library of Pennsylvania, Box 1601, Education Building, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania 17126.
We have provided instructions as noted in the enclosed letter to the librarians in charge of these document rooms. However, we believe further assistance and guidance would be useful to them and request that you have one of your representatives make periodic checks of the materials available.
In particular, your representative should assure that revised and supple-mental information is properly incorporated in the application and safety aaalysis report, and that any other amendments, reports, and letters which you have filed with us are available. It is not necessary that you actu-ally supply these documents as we vill forward them to tha document room, together with the documents cris,inated by or for AEC such as the following:
AEC letters requesting additional information, letters written to you by Regional Offices of the Division of Compliance, your Environmental Report, the Draft and Final Detailed Statements and all cor=ents thereon, Safety Evaluations, the report of the Advisory Co=mittee on Reactor Safeguards, all Federal Register notices, orders, permits, licenses, any advice rendered by the Attorney General and matters relating to the public hearing on your application (requests for limited appearances, petitions for intervention, orders and decisions of the Atomic Safety and Licensing' Board, and hearing transcripts).
If you should encounter situations where documents of this type are missing, please provide them if you have them available.

U. S. Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) Local Public Document Room - Nuclear (Atomic) Power Plants and Facilities.
4 PURPOSE The establishnent by the AEC of local oublic document rocms or centers in areas where nuclear (atomic) power plants and facilities are proposed for construction or operation is to provide the public in the vicinity with access to the documentary materials connected with the licensing and public hearinga involving such power plants and facilities, including information on the environ = ental aspects of the proj ect.
USE AND CUSTODY OF MATERIALS These are available to all members of the public for axaminat on and 4
conving (except that transcripts of proceedings may not be reproduced).
It is important, however, that the examination and copying be confined to the library cremises subject to observation of library cersonnel so that the file may be kept intact, and to avoid any of the materials becoming lost.
FILING OF AEC MATERIALS The bulk of the material forwarded to you will usually be contained in binders or in ringed loose-leaf volumes. Additionally, we are supplying you with folders for filing other papers and documents. Each document will be labeled or appropriately marked for a particular file.
(1) A folder tabbed " Amendments not included in Volumes or 31nders" for the filing of documents that amend other documents in the file but which are unbound (2) A folder with the tab " Applicant File - Correspondence with Applicant" (excluding environmental and antitrust)
(3) A folder with the tab " Environmental File - Environmental reports, comments, drafts and statements not included in binders or in ringed loose-leaf volumes (4) A folder with the cab " Antitrust File" (5) A folder with the tab "Public Hearing, including notices of hearing, safety evaluation, ACRS report, Initial Decision, and other decisions and orders" 15B3 003
. (6) A folder with the tab " License and Construction Permit File (containing Construction Permits, Licenses, Amendments to Licenses and Construction Permits, Technical Specifications changes, incident reports, and inspection correspondence)
(7) A Folder tabbed " Reports" (including ojerating reports, environmental monitoring reports)
