As a result of our meeting in Bethesda on Decenber 11, 1974, we request that you review the Babcock and Wilcox (BGW) Standard Technical Specifi-cations (STS).
Five copies of this document have been enclosed for this purpose. 'Ihe initial objective of your review is to provide detailed coments and recomendations for further development of the BQW-STS.
As a second objective, the B4W-SIS will be uniquely conformed and applied, at a later date, for use at ihree Mile Island Unit 1.
As indicated at our meeting, our technical staff will be available to assist you during your review. Informtion regarding B5W's comitment to this effort will be furnishbr to you by separate correspondence.
With regard to your participation in the review, we wish to assure you that we will give careful consideration to all your comments and. recom-mendations; moreover, we will provide appropriate appeal routes for your use when necessary to obtain further discussion on technical specifications that you consider highly over-conservative.
In order that we my coordinate the effort among Metropolimt Edison Company (Meted), B4W, and ourselves, we suggest that the work follow the schedule contained in the enclosure. Should you have any concerns related to this schedule, please advise us so that appmpriate adjust-ments my be made.
