In order for us to complete our review of your financial qualifications in regard to your application for a license to operate the Three Mile Island Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. 1, it will be necessary for you to furnish the following financial data in accordance with 10 CFR 50.33 (f) and Appendix C of 10 CFR Part 50:
1.
Estimated annual costs of operating this nuclear facility for the initial five-year period. The types of costs included in the estimate should be indicated and should include (but not be limited to) interest on investment, overhead, taxes, depreciation, and other operating, maintenance, incurance, and fuel costs. The source of funds (for each applicant) to operate this facility should be indi-cated in soms detail.
2.
The estimated costs of permanently shutting down the unit, if that should become necessary. The assumptions made in estimating the costs, the type of shutdown contemplated, and source of funds to cover the costs should be indicated.
3.
Estimated annual cost to emintain the shutdown facility in a safe condition. The assumptions used in estimating this cost should be given, including the type of operation and interest rates assumed, as well as the source of funds to cover this perpetuity.

4.
Published interim financial statements for each applicant. A calendar year 1971 annual report for General Public Utilities Corporation and the 1969 and 1970 financial statements for Metropolitan Edison Company.
5.
A statement indicating (a) the current percentage of the facility owned by each participant, (b) the percentage of annual facility expenses, and the types of expenses, to be borne by each applicant, (c) the approximate percentage of facility power to be taken by each applicant, (d) the percentage of permanent shutdown costs to be borne by each applicant, and (e) the percentage of costs to maintain the., ' 9 facilit-in

A copy of a prospectus for a recent security issue for each of the three applicants.

Any other information which would be needed to determine your financial ability to operate or shutdown and maintain the shutdown facility in a safe condition.
The above data should be submitted as an amendment to your application no later than September 15, 1972.
