COOPER NUCLEAR STATION OPERATIONS NARRATIVE September 1979 On 9/10/79, a fluid leak in the turbine control system was discovered.

On 9/11/79, reactor power was decreased and the turbine generator was tripped to repair this leak. The turbine generator was off line for approximately 1.4 hours4.62963e-5 days <br />0.00111 hours <br />6.613757e-6 weeks <br />1.522e-6 months <br />. The unit was returned to normal power oper-ation upon completion of maintenance and repairs to the turbine control system.

On 9/12/79, reactor recirculation pump "B" number 2 seal failed re-quiring shutdown of the reactor.

Reactor manually scrammed on 9/13/79.

The unit remained shutdown for approximately 62.9 hours1.041667e-4 days <br />0.0025 hours <br />1.488095e-5 weeks <br />3.4245e-6 months <br /> to permit com-pletion of recirculation pump seal replacement a.,d other minor main-tenance items. The unit returned to power operatien and operated the balance of the month.
