Appendix A and Section 3; 2nd paragraph of details:

Criticality Safety Authorization 1.

Corrective Steps Which Have Been Taken and the Results Achieved Zone marking and work desk and table locations have %en modified to meet posted zone requirements. The noted operations were not in process at the time of inspection.

Corrective Steps Which Will be Taken to hoid Furthsr Itrms of Non-Compliance-Shop II Metals Processing personnel and the Shop : Criticality Coordinator have been reinstructed of the necessity to strictly comply with posted zone requirements. NIS personnel shall assure that postings are clearly understood by area personnel, and com-pliance shall be audited during periodic NIS inspections. Wherever possible, the performance of the actual operation shall be part of the inspection.

A special series of NIS inspecticns of B-South controlled area operations shall be performed during the remainder of this year.

The Date When Full Compliance Will be Achieved Our facility is currently in full compliance.

Section 3, Paragraph 3 of Details Storage of Used Protective Clothing for Reuse We will evaluate the noted comments and inform NRC inspectors of our planned actions on their next visit.

Section 5, Page 8, Paragraph 2 of Details Use of Work Permits Availability of fire extinguishers and the plant emergency phone number shall be incorporated in Work Permit attachment

Section 6, Page 9, Last Paragraph of Details Priority to Correction of Safety Items The time period required for correction of safety inspection items varies according to many factors e.g. degree of hazard, precurement time, availability of necessary personnel, amount of work time needed, and equipment availability.

We believe our excellent personnel and facility safety records confirm our methods are satisfactory.
