In accordance with 10 CFR 2.201, Texas Instruments (TI) is responding to your letter of August 14, 1979, "Inspec-tion 70-33/79-08".

The case of noncompliance as itemized in your Appendix A is briefly described with our associated:

(1) corrective steps which have been taken and our results achieved, (2) corrective steps which will be taken to avoid further items of noncompliance, and (3) the date when full compliance will be achieved.

Fixed alpha activity measurements in " Smidgen Clean" areas and on clean protective clothing.

Fixed alpha activity measurements have been completed and recorded.

2)

Fixed alpha activity measurements have been scheduled co comply with license requirements.

3; Full compliance was achieved August 29, 1979.

Removable beta-gamma activity in the general working area and work surfaces within the Fuel Manufacturing Area.
