Thank ycu for your letters of March 22 and June 12, 1979, in response to our letters dated February 16 and April 26, 1979.
The testing time requirements of ASTM C150, Section 9 were discussed during a telephone call between your Mr. Creel and our Mr. Oberg on July 23 and August 20, 1979. This area was also exa:Ined during an inspection at the site on July 9-12, 1979.
Based on the above discussions, the following was confirmed:
The basis of the ASTM C150 requirceents is to ensure availability of a.
pron t and consistent test results of cement materials af ter testing.
b.
That portion of the User Test required by Bechtel Specification C-191 performed by the on-site laboratory will meet the maximum time limitations given in ASTM C150-74, paragraph 9.
c.
Cement sacples to be tested by an off-site laboratory will be submitted for testing within five days of ancpling.
d.
A revleu of the Bechtel Specifications will be conducted by KG6E and Bechtel to clarify the intent of the specification requirements.
On-site Daniel Procedures will be changed accordingly.
Based on the above, we have no further questions on this matter.
