Dear Mr. Whitmer:
By your letter dated July 12, 1979 you requested an anendment to Operating License Nos. DPR-57 and NPF-5 for the Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant Unit Nos. 1 and 2.
The proposed amendment would allow an extension of the 90 day reporting requirement for the Annual -Environmental Surveillance Report when radiological or nonradiological data results are not available within this required titne frame.
We have reviewed your request and determined that it is consistent with our Standard Technical Specifications and is already included in your application dated December 21, 1978 on Radiological Effluent Technical Specifications.
Accordingly, separate licensing action is not required, and we do not plan to take separate action on your July 12, 1979 request.
As indicated in our letter, 'NRC (Miller) to GPC (Whitmer) dated August 28, 1979 fees are not required for your July 12 request.
