This letter concernt
- he request for Tri-State couriers to be granted an exception to the search requirements of 10 CFR 73.50(c)(1) which was discussed by Mr. Mowry of your organization and Mr. Kasu,n of the NRC during recent telephone conversations.
We have determined that Appendix A of Materials and Plant Protection Amendment MPP-1 to your License No. SNM-696 may be amended to grant the requested exceptio.n.
Accordingly, we are adding License Condition 9.4.14, as set forth in the enclosure to this letter, effective upon receipt.

a) The couriers possess Tri-State credentials and have been properly identified, b) The couriers are included on an authorization list separately received from Tri-State, c) An advance notice of shipment has been received from Tri-State.
