Occket No. 50-338 24 HCUR REPORTABLE EVENT SEP l2 P 3 : 54 Written Fo11cw-Up On 9/12/79 f t was detemined that the station curve for the Refueling Water Storage Tank was incorrect in that an actual level in the tank was greater than the indicated level. This resulted in the Technical Specifica-tion upper tank level limit keing excaedad.
Upon review of this situation.
the icwer Technical Specification Ifnit appears to be less than the required amount of water which should be transferred into the contaircent folicwing a loss of coolant accident.
The cause of this discrepancy is not known at this tir.e ar.d is currantly under investigation.
The irrediate corrective action was to Icher the tank level to within the Technical Specification linit.
A change to the station curve is haing drafted. There was no effect on plant operation due to this event The unit is presently operating in an and of life coast down at approximatal5 82% rated themal pcaer.
